With two-factor authentication, you additionally protect your Lomavis account with a second security factor. This way your account stays better protected even if someone knows your password.
Where can I find the 2FA settings?
You can find the settings for two-factor authentication in your account settings:
Direct link: https://app.lomavis.com/accounts/2fa/
Why should I enable 2FA?
With 2FA, you need an additional verification code when logging in, on top of your password. This significantly increases the security of your account.
How to set up 2FA
Open the 2FA settings in your account.
Start setting up two-factor authentication.
Scan the displayed QR code with an authenticator app on your smartphone, for example:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
Enter the verification code generated in the app.
Confirm the setup.
After that, two-factor authentication is active for your account.
How login with 2FA works
As soon as 2FA is activated, you log in as usual with your email address and your password. After that, you'll be asked to enter an additional security code from your authenticator app.
Only after entering this code will the login be completed.
What to do if I lost my smartphone?
If you no longer have access to your authenticator app, you might not be able to log in with your second factor anymore.
So we recommend that you:
set up 2FA only on a device that you can reliably access
store any recovery or backup codes safely if they are shown
contact support if you’re no longer able to restore access to your account
Disable or set up 2FA again
You can manage two-factor authentication at any time in the account settings. There you can – depending on your use case – disable it or set it up again, for example if you’re using a new smartphone.
Recommendation
We recommend that all users activate two-factor authentication to protect their account as well as possible.
